I rescue children from small old dogs.
While walking home last night I found some children locking themselves into a van to keep a small barking half-blind dog away from them. I knew where the dog lived so I "walked" him home with some worry he might nip my ankles. I let him into his backyard and said "Good night and behave yourself now!" The next morning I saw the owner and told him about his canines misadventure. Oddly enough the wee dog and his bigger companions did not bark at me. I guess their owner was there and there was no need to sound the alarm.
