Out of the mouth of babes!
June, Buddha Monkey and I went to the main library branch downtown on Thursday afternoon. We met a delightful 4 year little girl with very pale corn silk blond hair. She was there with mom and newborn baby brother. She was reading comic book versions of old myths.
A little later I felt someone playing with my hair and thought it might be Buddha Baby so I let it continue.
"Why is your hair so black black here?" I heard a very girly voice ask me.
I turned around to see the blond moppet. I said it had to do with the fact all my white hair was growing in the front of my head.
Her mom, June and I giggled about that comment.
