June raised this butterfly from eggs she collected.
I have noticed more butterflies in the past few years than at any other time since I moved to Kingston. I know several people help boost the population by collecting laid eggs and incubating them in their homes to cut down on predation. It's still amazing how something so fragile can make such a long migration to Mexico.
