HASA will be retired and taken offline at the end of the year. This is not being done lightly, and there is a lot of sorrow surrounding the decision.

This is very sad news. I wonder if the AO3 Open Doors Project would help with preserving the stories?

It might, though I'm a bit leery about reposting stories by authors who can no longer be contacted. We'll look into it, is all I can say.

Thanks for the suggestion, though.

Wow! This has hit a lot of people hard. I'm surprised people are not posting here about. I know for many people it is very personal and brings back so many memories--first fandom home, first place they posted a story, for me those things and also the place where I met the majority of my closest fandom friends. (I have an underdeveloped sense of privacy--so here I am ( ... )
