a very short update of the last 2 or so years
It has been a very long time since I wrote and a lot has happened since then. So before bed, since I need to get up for work at 730, I will do a quick update of each year that has passed.
Remainder of 2009:
- Started graduate school at CHC
- Got married and went on a fabulous honeymoon <3
- Met and became friends with some amazzzzzzing people :)
2010:
- start practicum/internship
- Tested and earned my black belt
- Went to LAS VEGAS!
- Celebrated first wedding anniversary
- applied to doctorate programs
- took a class that made me learn a lot about myself
2011:
- Rejected from doctorate programs; had to figure out a new plan
- bought a great dane puppy named Penny <3
- Graduated from graduate school with a Masters of Science in Clinical and Counseling Psychology- 3.92 GPA
- Received 3 job offers in the same couple of days
- Decided to work at my internship site and another place at the same time
- Went to Las Vegas and met up with a dear friend :)
- Celebrated our second wedding anniversary- or third to Ant.
- Started to reapply to doctorate programs since not going to school was/is driving me crazy
- Moved into our own (rented) house
First Month of 2012:
- Celebrated New Years Eve in NYC with great friends
- Continuing to do both jobs
- received interview offer for a doctorate program
I guess to sum it all up, the past two/two and a half years have been really great. I have met people that have turned out to be some of my best friends and mentors, reconnected with some of my best friends, would like to reconnect with some of my best friends still. I am looking forward to my interview with Immaculate at the end of February and am looking forward to hopefully hearing from other schools. My next writing will be sooner than 2 years :)
