I am at home in bed with the Depression, instead of being at work. I am ready for winter to be over now. Yesterday the sun shone for a whole 120 seconds!
Depression's a funny old beast. You're not sad - hell, I spent much of the weekend laughing my ass off. It's just very difficult to perform complex tasks, such as moving and thinking coherently. All last week I wrote barely a word, and when writing is your job, well...that's not so cool. So here I am with the curtains wide open and all the lights on.
One or two things of interest:
Photos of the
Large Hadron Collider. (hat tip to

Rob Schrab is a talented person. May I recommend
Robot Bastard!, a short film. I've just read his
Scud: The Whole Shebang, which is really quite good. Hilarious, a possibly illegal amount of action, and some rather effective horror as well. There is anti-gravity bullfighting against a black bull with rocket hooves and chainsaws for horns (this goes under "hilarious," btw). And Voodoo Ben Franklin! And that's just to go on with.
