Utah (part 2)
I went to Park City...and this is what happened.
In the land of cell phones, the one with the signal is king.
Sundance brings about everyone in Hollywood to the butt cold state of Utah. There were tons of parties, tons of drinking, tons of drugs (from what I heard) and some movie watching. I personally didn't partake in too much of this because I was really tired from skiing and if I wanted to go out and "meet people" I could drive down to Sunset Blvd any night of the week and do it. I'm not gonna pay a $15 cover charge to hang out with some douche bag in a puffy jacket.
But of course, I did see/meet a couple of celebrities.
The bus system out there is great. You walk out, it picks you up and drives you around pretty much everywhere...and its free. Hell, you may even end up sitting next to Leonard Maltin...or a few seats down from him. I wish the public transpo out here was that good, I'd use it all the time. My dad and I step out of the hotel and go to the bus stop. There's an old couple there and a tall black guy who sort of looks familiar. We're talking and my dad gets close and whispers to me "Is he an actor". That's when it clicked in my head. "Yeah", I whisper back, "he was the guy from Ghostbusters". I tell me dad its Ernie Hudson and he decides to say "Are you Ernie Hudson". The man says yes and we all start talking about why he's there. Apparently he was in like 4 movies. Also, considering he was at our hotel bus stop, he was staying at our hotel.
I saw, not met, this next person. Again, on a bus, after a day of skiing, we cruise around main street headed back for the hotel. I'm looking out the window and I double take. "That was Kevin Smith". I told my dad. I had to explain who this was and my dad realized it eventually. After a long bus ride back, we pull up into our hotel and who's standing outside? Kevin Smith. He was staying at our hotel as well.
I didn't get a chance to talk to Silent Bob but it was damn cool to have seen him. So, this is the conclusion of part 2. I think I might add a part 3 in a couple days. Sorry for the delay for this one.
