Finding Fun In Weird Places
Ah alas!
Alina has been dropped off, which sucks 'cause we had such a good day!
Admittedly when I first got to Orléans I was pretty horified, according to Joan, New Orleans has heaps of jazz band playing on the street, people in deliciously colourfuly clothes and gorgeous smells from a variety of dishes.
Not so Orléans, which is nice and pretty in a French village kind of way, but I sure as Hell wasn't getting a Mardi Gras vibe there.
But never underestimate my ability to find a good time! First of all there was this boat ride on the Loire, Alina loves hanging around water, so she was having the time of her life!
Then we went to this place! It looks exactly like a one of those old time story book places, I kept expecting Little Red Riding Hood to come skipping by!
Then we went to the House of Joan de Arc...let me just say, she did a damn fine job. If she'd been older I'd totally find her hot! (Hey I've got standards, you know!)
I got Alina a nice little braclet from there, I'm sure when she grows up she'll kick arse better than Joan (either one! ;O)
So now I'm Alina-less! This saddens me. :O( But I guess I can go to the Nexus, get in some world travel...Oh well...next Sunday...
