Harry's Tiny Crappy Apartment, Chicago, Monday Night

Jan 30, 2012 22:54

Much to Bob's amusement and Harry's dismay, Harry Dresden had spent the weekend as a girl.

Much to Harry Dresden's overwhelming relief, he was no longer short and girlie.

"It's just too bad I can't work a camera," Bob said cheerfully. "I'll treasure the memories forever but the whole weekend was one extended Kodak moment and think of the joy those pictures would bring me forever."

"I regularly offer up prayers of thanks that you can't work cameras," Harry retorted. "Have ever since we were at school in Fandom."

"I like you better when you turn into a little kid. Although girl-you has her charms. For one thing she's not freakishly tall."

"You ever wonder why I pulled you out of the ashes, Bob?" Harry asked. "'Cause I sure do. Now, will you shut up? I gotta call Nick and make up some excuse for not showing up yesterday. 'I was a girl' isn't gonna fly."
