She was surprised at how much fun she had last night… at dinner with Oliver and John. Maybe Clark and John had a point - she spent too much time lately dedicated to watching and interacting with everyone through phones and computers that she had forgotten how much fun people were - how much fun it was to interact with real people.
Maybe she would still be behind cameras and on computers as Watchtower, but she needed to split that time or she might end up insane like Kent Nelson had been and that was the last thing she wanted to happen.
Part 2
She didn’t want to travel in the same path as Doctor Fate had… which had led to death. Sure, being apart of a superhero team, there was always a risk of death… but she just didn’t want her life to end because she ended up going insane and practically alone. He had no wife, no children. She didn’t want to be alone…
She didn’t want to end up like her mother... or have her life end like that. She wanted to die fighting like she knew the other members of the team did…
She wanted to die fighting for justice.
