Part 1
“And just how do you know he’s going to call you?” Zatanna asked her daughter, her eyebrow raising in curiosity. Gwen smirked.
“I saw that he will,” Gwen stated simply, glancing over towards the phone.
“You do know your visions don’t happen exactly when you see them or mean exactly what you think they do.”
“I know mother, either way Dylan’s calling me.”
“Ooooooo, Dylan’s calling Gwen!” Shouted Robbie in a girlish squeal.
“EEEWWW!!!” Nick yelled, pretending to throw up at the thought.
“MOM!!!”
“Settle down, boys, leave your sister alone.”
“Yeah and you better run.” Gwen yelled, pissed off.
Part 2
“Did Dylan call yet, Gwen?” Zatanna asked as she passed her daughter on the stairs.
“He didn’t call me, mom… he ended up calling Carolyn instead.”
“Dinah’s Carol?” Zatanna questioned, confused. Gwen just shook her head before running up the stairs, slamming her bedroom’s door shut. Realizing that something must have happened with Dylan, Zatanna quickly rushed up the stairs and to the door.
“Gwen, baby? Can I come in?”
The loud but strangled “no” came from the other side of the door. Zatanna could hear her daughter’s cries, and it broke her heart to know her daughter was hurting.
Part 3
“Gwen? Please let me in?” Oliver Queen asked as he softly knocked against the door. He had just gotten home a few minutes and Zatanna hoped that talking to her father would help calm Gwen down. For several minutes he heard absolutely no sign that his daughter heard him until he heard her cries grow a little louder as they came closer to the door.
The sight of Gwen broke his heart. It made him wish he could use the Green Arrow identity to hurt this Dylan kid since he had hurt his baby girl’s feelings, but sadly he couldn’t.
Part 4
“I had seen he had picked up a phone, and since he told me he would call--”
“You assumed he was calling you.”
“Mom warned me not to rely on these stupid visions, but I couldn’t help it, dad, I really like him.”
“I know you did, Gwen, and I hope you’re not angry at Carol about Dylan… It’s not her fault.”
“I know, she called immediately after he called and told me that she said she wouldn’t go out with him… She knows how much I like him.”
“That’s a good friend you have there.”
Gwen grinned, “Yeah.”
