Iron Man Trailer!

The Iron Man movie trailer is officially up.It's slightly different than the ComicCon one, but most of that footage is there, along with a few new shots here and there. And the picture is crystal-clear, and you can actually hear the dialogue, and they've tweaked the use of the Black Sabbath song to really work. And, um. Not that I'm wishing for

My favorite part is still "That's ridiculous. I don't paint." (Mostly because I may possibly mentally add "but my boyfriend does" to the end of that sentence.)

*makes gleeful little sounds of amusement* My favorite part is either the bit with Tony in the tanktop, forging the armor (why, why is that shot so hot when Robert Downey Jr. is usually kind of average-looking and Tony is only hot when drawn by certain artists?) or the part where he declares that the best kind of weapon is the one you only have to fire once.

Well, and the bit where the armor is racing the F-22s.

Oh, and we, too, could only get the small version of the trailer to play.

It's possibly I've watched this trailer about 15 times this morning.

Also, total agreement on RDJ in the tanktop forging. I don't find him hot at all in other roles, but for some reason right there it's just... whoosh.

(I finally got the large version to play almost to the end - it cuts off the last few seconds of flying after the title logo, but that's good enough for me.)

At Comic-Con, um, last year, when they announced the film, I totally missed getting to see THE FAVREAU and I was totally sad. But I did get a most awesome teaser poster, which I hope I still have.

Someday, I will get to go to a major Comic-Con. The New York area is apparently good for everything except comic book fandom (and TV filming, I guess). Though the New York ComicCon is valiantly trying to be cool.
