Sarah Lyall’s The Anglo Files: A Field Guide to the British, written by an American ex-pat who married a Brit and has lived in England fifteen years now. Here’s an excerpt from the first pages:
Actually, I've had to already hide both eggs before--Renita warned me I had soft shell, I hid the eggs, the soft shell went away. Problem of TOO many clicks, which I didn't expect--I expected the reverse.
It can be work, but it is fun work, imo. :)
Hee. I'm dying to find out how they come out. Especially the egg "surrounded by fog"
My problem lately has been sick hatchlings. I have gotten very, very high stats when they're eggs, and if you go over a certain number while they're still eggs, they will get sick. So, I'm working on balancing things out right now. I managed not to get two of them sick, but the third did. I think its alright now, but I'm leaving it fogged for a little longer anyway.
When I was a newbie to Dragon Cave, I was too impatient to wait to find things out. I look until I found a guide telling me everything. *snicker* I'm pathetic, I know. The guide is no longer online, but I pretty much memorized everything. LOL
Naw, you're not pathetic. I have a computer game, Diablo, and you can be sure I went online and looked things up so I knew just how to grow my characters *snerk*
LOL You know how I'm willing to wait for some things, but unwilling for others. I wanted to know for the dragons so I could make sure to get the stats necessary for each. There are slight difference for common and rare eggs. Mainly that you need higher stats for the rare eggs. So, I wanted to be sure which were rare.
Of course, I ended up researching everything about Dragon Cave that I could in the process... :)
Ah, didn't know you needed different clicks for different eggs (and how can you tell if you have a rare if it's surrounded by fog?). Renita told me you need about 100 clicks to hatch.
You can hatch/grow up with no clicks at all. The unique views are what matter the most. If you have no clicks, you'll need higher unique views. And, the higher your stats, the sooner they'll hatch/grow up. Eggs can hatch at 3.5 days remaining, and hatchlings can grow up at 3.5 days remaining. I have never had an egg or hatchling take longer than that. Except the one I rescued off the abandoned page that already had less days than that left
( ... )
Ah, I thought it was just clicks, not unique views (and what is the difference anyway?)
Surrounded by fog is the description for that particular breed of eggs. I could tell you what is rare and what is not, if you'd like. I could also tell you what egg will be what dragon. It depends on whether or not you like spoilers. :)
Hmmm. As long as it hatches and not dies so I can find out for myself I'll wait...
Good deal. I didn't know if you wanted to be spoiled or not, so I asked first. I don't like to spoil those who don't want to be spoiled.
Views are given for anyone who visits your page. One unique view and one click per IP address is recorded for those who click on your dragons. Under no circumstances do you ever want your clicks to be higher than your unique views. This will kill your egg and kill it quickly. Never give out just the address directly to your dragon's page. Always use the coding provided by Dragon Cave to put up the image.
To receive clicks, one must actually click on your dragon. Unique views are recorded simply by viewing the page you have the dragon posted on. Unique views are what makes your eggs hatch and your hatchlings grow. Clicks determine how fast this happens. However, no clicks requires you to have a higher unique view count to compensate.
