I know we see many promising WIPs that never get finished, lose their way or become a bloated mess, so a lot of us are reluctant to read them. Well, in case you aren't aware of it, a story has just finished that I'd personally put with rhianonofthemoon's
For All Intents and Purposes and
zeegrindylows'
Where Your Treasure Is as top three best epic/novels post-DH in the ship. The epilogue just went up on FFN and Ashwinder (might take longer on Fiction Alley), so there's no reason to not give it a try because of fear of it being abandoned or long waits between updates. Moreover,
christinex1001 is a newbie to SSHG, and I think for that reason it's all the more important we in the ship give her a warm welcome with encouraging reviews. We want more good in the ship, yes?

What she finds when she unravels the mystery will change both her life and the wizarding world forever.
What I loved in this is that both Hermione and Severus are intelligent. Geek love IOWs, at its finest, old-fashioned in a ship sense in the way they connect and are brought together.
And as along as I'm on the subject of squeeful multi-chapters, thanks to
silburygirl, I've discovered a WIP,
mad-queen-mab's
The Properties of Silver that makes my inner fangirl happy. Like the above story, it's actually Ron-friendly, and after all the Weasley-bashing and unrecognizable Rons I've read in stories lately, that is a great relief. Moreover, it deals with aspects of DH I've never seen tackled or are glossed over. What happened with Gringotts and the Goblins when it came to the trio, for instance. And it's imaginative enough in details to make 10 stories. Although it hasn't been updated in a while, it was pointed out to me the author is participating in the
sshg_exchange, so maybe that explains why the updates have slowed up. I love the whole take on the ship post-DH though, I'd really recommend not waiting but reading now.
I now return to the painful process of eking out my own obligation to the Exchange. *cries*
