A moment of peace is rather...uneventful.
There's so much I should be doing right now, but I'm feeling childish about my day off--it's mine. *grabs*
I've got a little homework left to do since I couldn't get it all done yesterday. Instead of going to the shooting range, I drove up to Oceanside to spend the evening with Brian on his birthday. We enjoyed dinner, some shopping (no good movies worth seeing), and went back to his barracks room so that I could see all of his photos from Iraq. And of course, we had some great conversation. There aren't many people who I connect with on an intellectual and emotional level, so the time we spend together is always something that's special :)
Tomorrow morning I'm supposed to skip command PT to go to a laser eye appointment at Medical. Oddly enough, I didn't schedule that, so I'm guessing it's just a yearly check-up..? The ol' eyes should still be 20/20, if not better, so I'm not too worried. I might do my Birth Month Recall while I'm there or schedule an appointment with my primary care doctor, both of which I keep putting off for one reason or another. One of these days, I'll be on my death bed, and it will be inevitable, haha. *knocks on wood*
Shame on me for saying this, but I'm bored. Leave me to my own devices for a whole day and I run out of things to do in under an hour. Well, like I said, I've got a list of annoyances I should be taking care of, but they're no fun. Man, I need new friends to share my hobbies with.
