Aaaaaaargh! At Joann today I noticed they had the latest issue of Altered Couture, so I picked it up. Now I'm absolutely dying to have a go at my old clothes, but I have too much homework! So close to the end of the semester, but I think I'm down for the count today.  I actually spent a large chunk of the morning wishing I hadn't gotten that ticket to the Aquabats show tonight because I have so much to do and I just didn't feel like doing anything tonight.  I was wishing not to go to the Aquabats!  Clearly some relaxation is in order ( Read more... )

My sewing machine is back!  It is clean and now glides as softly as a cloud.  He even replaced the broken needle threader, which I didn't even mention when I took it in.  *purr*

So today at lunch, I was talking about how I was getting so many orders for those hats lately.  I don't know why, but my sales on eBay and Etsy suddenly exploded over the last week and I've been selling multiple hats a day.  I was saying how the money is always nice, but it would be nice if my sewing machine hadn't been in the shop for so long.

Finished costume is FINISHED.  I totally wasn't expecting to finish today, but I did!  Which means I can wear it all day tomorrow.  It also means I can do a lot of studying tomorrow morning, and maybe even go take my macro test - IN COSTUME.  I was kind of bummed that Halloween was on a Friday, because I don't have any classes on Friday to wear a ( Read more... )

These last few days before holiday time are always the worst.  It's when express mail starts being the only option.  But see, express mail isn't always overnight.  It depends on various plane routes.  It's difficult to explain to people that express mail is USUALLY overnight, BUT NOT ALWAYS.  You can look it up online with zip codes, but good luck ( Read more... )
