Today's meme is brought to you by the letter N

I commented on Melanie's post when she did this meme, and she gave me another letter.  XD  I suppose I'm not obligated to do it again, but it's fun!  And N is easier than F, anyway.  >.>

1. NAJIKA KAZAMI

I bought the first volume of Kitchen Princess expecting nothing more than cutesy, shallow fluff.  What I got was a much deeper (and sometimes more shocking!) storyline than I ever expected.  The artwork is, as you can see, extremely shoujo, but I actually kind of like it.  Najika is an orphan, her parents killed in a car accident when she was small.  After a few months at the orphanage, she was so depressed that she tried to kill herself.  A mystery boy stopped her, and gave her a flan he had been carrying.  After eating the flan, Najika decided that she wanted to be a chef that could make wonderful comfort food, to make people feel better when they're down.  She also wants to find her Flan Prince, but the only hint she has is the silver spoon he left with the flan - a spoon with the crest of a prestigious private school.  Najika is happy and bouncy, and sometimes borders on unreal, but she does get hit with depression when things get bad.  There have been some plot twists that caught me totally off-guard (and one that nearly killed me), and the characters are all much deeper than I expected.  Najika won me over, even with her big fluttery eyes and bouncy, perky personality.

2.  NEKO-SENSEI

aka, Mr. Cat.  Using his Japanese name lets me talk about him here, but "Mr. Cat" just sounds so ridiculous I like that name more.  XD  Mr. Cat creeped me out so much at first, but now I love him.  He's got some great advice to give, if you can just keep from running away before he dishes it out.  And don't make him mad unless you want to marry him.

3.  NASTINKA

From the MST3K'd movie, Jack Frost.  Nastinka is one of the few people in an MST3K movie who is actually attractive.  I think she's cute, even if she's rather a pushover.  It's just a shame she ends up with such an ugly dude.  "Every time I meet a man, he's either gay or a bear!"  Or he's a bear, who turns into an ugly man.  Which is just as bad.

4.  NANBA MINAMI

I love him because he's insanely attractive.  And also taller than me, which is a major plus when it comes to Japanese hotties.  Okay, so maybe this is more love to the actor who plays Nanba, but the actor's name doesn't start with N.  :P  I like the character of Nanba too; he's the only one of the dorm heads that is relatively normal and has any sense.  One of the only characters in the show like that, actually.  Usually the sensible character is the killjoy that nobody likes, but Nanba manages to be a lot of fun still.

5.  NICK STOKES

I love CSI, and Nick Stokes is the best character hands down.  Many of the characters have personality problems or mental problems that would, in the real world, keep them from being a CSI at all, but Nick?  Nick is down-to-earth and normal.  He's a real guy.  Not that I don't love Grissom, because I do, but there's no way someone like him would really be a CSI, especially not the head of a department.  Nick's the guy I want on my murder case.  Sure, every once in a while a case strikes home to him, but really, who wouldn't have that issue?  He handles it right and stays as professional as he can at all times.  Consequently, Nick doesn't get much attention.  Everyone talks about the angsting of other characters and Nick gets left in the background.  That's fine, though.  More for me.
