So I just watched the trailer for Watchmen and it looks, surpisingly, spot on.  At least, all the things in the preview were things that are actually IN the graphic novel, which is always a good sign.  I was a little worried that someone decided to make the movie after hearing a brief plot summary and thought, "Anti-heroes?  They are so HOT right ( Read more... )

I just went to Yahoo to watch the trailer again because I wanted to see if I could spot Rorschach since I didn't know who he was 'till you told me. After the trailer ended, it automatically started playing an interview with the costume designer and he said it was a really fun project because of all the styles from different decades... "The film starts in 1938 and goes forward to 1985."

So there ya go! They really are sticking to it. ^_^

I think Rorschach is my favorite, even though he's really messed up. Nite Owl, though, is probably the one that is the most like an ordinary person.

I wonder about how they'll handle the ending, though - if they'll keep it the same. It's kind of like I Am Legend, where it is an amazing ending, but people who haven't read it will go WHAT. WAS. THAT. I mean, I still don't know what I think of it. I'm just glad it's not real and I wasn't in that situation because I would have absolutely no idea what was right and what was wrong.

Of course, as a comic book movie, an ending like that would probably be more acceptable.
