Kid update
Wow, I haven't done this in a long time.
Amy's roommate has left on her Holland America contract, so Amy's being very bored right now waiting to get word from Spectrum (the company that hired her for the Japan gig) about WHEN SHE'S COMING OUT HERE! She's supposed to be here for 2 weeks for rehearsal, but it keeps getting pushed back so much that John's afraid she won't make it back for the Rockette season! As far as that goes, she's turned in her request for which cast, and she chose Dallas/Houston first. Then Chicago/Boston is 2nd, New York 3rd, Nashville 4th and Toronto 5th. We're all very anxious to see where they'll put her; I'm betting she'll get her first choice. She wants to do the New York cast eventually, of course; her dream is to actually perform on the Radio City stage, but she's having a good time in the touring casts and learning all the shows.
Kyle has been through the interview process with Disneyland security, and they're currently doing a background check. If he gets the job, he'll probably start on graveyard shift. Next week he needs to go to the veteran's office at Cal State Fullerton and start getting help getting into school.
I requested prayers for Marty's bio-mom awhile back, and I hesitate to say too much about it because Marty doesn't really like his life to be public. She's been in and out of the hospital; she's currently in and considered terminal. While she's home, Marty is care-giver, and I'm so proud of how well he does. It's an awful lot of pressure on a 20-year-old. He's constantly stressed, and I do all I can to get him away occasionally. He is taking a summer class at Harbor College which will hopefully give him emotional relief. I think I'm having lunch with him today, but I need to wait for him to call.
