Today, a war was waged between the mailbox and Easter shopping catalogues. The mailbox is approximately 20cms by 15 cms in size with a wafer thin letter slot. On the otherhand, there were about 17 different catalogues of varying sizes and page numbers.
As one would predict, I got home to find all the regular mail scattered all over the ground and the junk mail virtually stuffed into the slot. It took numerous yanks at the letterbox to get all the crap out! I think its high time we go down to Bunnings to get a "No Junk Mail" sign to place next to the letterbox. Either that or a guard dog that sniffs out the scent of cheaply printed materials and scares the mailmen off before they get here!
