Public mirrors

Next time you enter a full elevator, an escalator with mirrors on the wall or a public bathroom, take note of the behaviour of those around you. Nine times out of ten people will spend more than a couple seconds checking themselves out in the mirror. One work day spent in North Sydney I saw a woman rub a finger over her teeth, another readjust her hair and pull out a makeup kit and a man do his tie.

Is it just me, or do we begin to obsess over our appearance the minute a mirror appears before us? ;)
