Come on, Danger Davis!

I really wanted to go to the horse races after work today, since I'm going to be stuck working probably eight hours tomorrow for our event (woo overtime!) Unfortunately, nobody else wanted to go, and I didn't really want to drive out there all by myself, and then lose money and just be on my own, although it might not be so bad if I just bring a notebook and watch the races all day and just draw pictures and write down ideas or something.

Anyway, I wrote down all my guesses so maybe after all the races I can look at my notes and be thankful I didn't waste a lot of money gambling, or at least gain some satisfaction in knowing I made some good guesses, even if I didn't win anything. Who knows.

I need to quit beginning paragraphs with "anyway," it's tres gauche.

I went to Fred Meyer the other night with Benjamin and got some cheap art pad and a piece of plastic to roll out ink on and I tested my first linocut since high school! I don't think I've really got it down yet, but Tasha really liked my tests, and I think maybe Magan did too, so its kind of cool just imagining that my artwork is desirable. I like the idea of printmaking, but I'm nervous that I'm just jumping from hobby to hobby without really investing much in any of them. Once my thumb gets better I want to make some more animal friends, particularly a duck.
