Really liked the episode! I like how they brought out the fact that Sarah and Chuck work *right now*, but after, after the Intersect is out of Chuck or whatever things aren't as neat for them. Hell, things aren't neat right now and they both know it. And acknowledge it. *pets them*
I loved Casey's little phone call about Anna. *G*
Now about Fulcrum: while yes, I get that they're the Bad Guys and want the Intersect for themselves I can't help but be aware that this is a SPY show and you never really know who's on who's team. The main point behind this is Bryce, who I do like, and his obvious insistence to keep the Intersect away from the government. He says he's been looking out for Chuck form the beginning, and we're given proof of that in "Chuck vs. The Alma Mater" where Bryce plants the tests on Chuck to "save" him from the spy life, so it's very possible that his motivations are much different than we're given to think. Whether it is because he means to keep it safe from Fulcurm and for the gov until Fulcrum is taken down could definitely be a reason. And it's the reason the show feeds to us, but what if? What if it's because of something else? Again, I fall back to the whole, it's a SPY show. A fun spy show, but still, a spy show.
And here it's where it's obvious I used to watch Alias: Am I the only one curious about Chuck and Ellie's mom? It's canon she left them. And yes, she could just be a deadbeat mom (and hey, I'm fine if she is) but what if she's not? What if, she's the Irina Derevko of Chuck, which I have to admit would be rather awesome, but I'm cool if they never go that way. It's a tricky route and would have to be pulled of very carefully for it to work on the show.
But still. I can't help but fall back to the SPY show bit. And how twist and turns are a very big part of it.
