"Horseshit," Vern muttered, tearing open the prag's package. Bitcher acted sorry for Andy, but he was laughing. A red and white heart covered with glitter tumbled out, and he picked it up.

' Daddy, I love you!!!'

Vern nearly crumbled it in his fist. Tiny sparkles laughed at him and he leaned against the cabinet, trying to find his anger again.

"You okay, Vern?"

"Fuck off!" Vern straightened his back, sweeping the package into the trash. But the valentine he'd keep. It'd remind him. He was going to tear Bitcher's heart out and stomp it.
