Canon: Post Season Four
As he opened the envelope, scattered flecks of glitter fell onto his bunk…and he smiled.
He remembered when Gary brought his first school-made Valentine home to Genevieve. Toby had complained about the "damn glitter" that got all over the place. And now he felt that pain in his chest…the one that always accompanied a memory of his son.
He pulled out the card with the red glitter stuck to the paper in globs, forming a heart.
"To Daddy…Be Mine…Love, Holly."
Toby’s chest clenched.
But this time, he would cherish the glitter…and he made sure to put back every last bit.
