Title: School Daze
Rating: PG Something..
Pairing: Multiple
Summary: "Four days," Jin Hwan smirked, leaning back in his seat and glancing over his shoulder at Dong Wook who shared a similar smirk. "I can't believe you've been getting away with keeping him in your room for four days." He thought for a moment before adding, biting back his laughter as he did so, "And counting."

Random 'School Daze' fact: After I got the whole SM vs YG idea, I had to think about who would hate YG Academy with every fiber of his being, and that was a toughie considering that none of the boys have a hateful bone in their body. But in the end I decided on Yunho simply because of Rising Sun the extended version. Haha.. To me, it sounded like he said "YG SUCKS!" So I decided on him. Hehe.. Good times.. Good times..

-Chapter Twenty Four-

"Jaejoong-ah," Yunho called silently as he walked into the room. "Are you awake?"

There was a sound of rustling bed covers, then finally Jaejoong's tired voice as he answered in response to Yunho's question, "No."

Yunho smiled at the response, and carefully picked his way through the dark room until he reached Jaejoong's bedside. His beautiful roommate moved over in the bed to give Yunho some room so that he wouldn't have to remain crouched on the floor, but remained lying in bed. "Did you want something, Yunho-ah?"

With a hesitant smile, Yunho seated himself on the edge of the bed, manuvering carefully so to not bother Jaejoong anymore than he already had. "I just wanted to apologize to you."

At first Jaejoong was silent, as he thought on what it was Yunho could possibly be apologizing for. The boy at his side had never done any serious harm to the point where he would be forced to apologize at such an obscene hour. "Yunho-ah," Jaejoong began, drawing a blank, "what are you--"

"For trying to dictate who you do or do not talk to," Yunho cut him off, genuine remorse in his voice. "I shouldn't have been so pushy about it. Miahn eh." He nudged the small of Jaejoong's back when the boy remained silent. Much too silent for much too long.

"Yunho-ah," Jaejoong finally croaked as the message final processed in his all too tired mind, he noticed how a certain name had never once came across his lips, but didn't dwell on it for long. There were so many things he wanted to say to Yunho at that very moment. Confess to him the guilty pleasure he had experienced at Dong Wook's hands.

At Dong Wook's lips.

Wanted to let Yunho know that he had been silently struggling within himself when it came to his number one rival of all times. Wanted to tell Yunho everything that had happened since the minute he stepped onto SM Academy's property. Wanted the semester to be over and done with. Wanted everything he had experienced so far to be a very strange dream.

So many wants.

But he couldn't speak of a single thing he wanted. Instead, he turned over and faced Yunho, shrugging the matter to the side and quickly directing the conversation away from himself. "You shouldn't be worrying about little things like that. What about our Changmin? After we came back from the carnival, he's been a bit--"

"He has, hasn't he?" Yunho sighed with a small frown. "Do you suppose that he's in love with that Kay Shoni girl?"

Jaejoong cracked a small smile and shoved Yunho slightly as he corrected the boy, "May Doni." For now, he was safe from letting light shine on his actions, but he would have to carefully tiptoe around Changmin's.

He recognized Changmin's little friend, though it had taken him some time. She was the YG girl from the soccer match not so long ago, that had been in charge of keeping the team hydrated throughout the duration of the match. Yes, he recognized her, but the question was, how did Changmin know her?

How long had they been friends?

Jaejoong hid his thoughts easily from Yunho. It seemed he had become increasingly good at hiding things from Yunho.

"Jae," Yunho prodded into Jaejoong's thoughts with a gentle nudge of his own, pressing closer to the boy, making him completely aware of Yunho's presence and proximity. "You're really quiet. Is everything okay?"

"It's three in the morning," Jaejoong mumbled silently, ignoring the fact that he was now wide awake, "of course I might be a little more quiet than usual." Before Yunho could part his lips to say something else, though Jaejoong wasn't completely sure if he was going to do so or not, he quickly asked, "Did you want anything else?"

Yunho shifted positions on the bed so that he was now lying next to Jaejoong in the all too small bed. It was nowhere near large enough to accommodate the two youths. A good percentage of Yunho's body was hanging off the bed, but it didn't matter to him in the least. "Ani," he finally muttered, glancing up at the ceiling. "I just wanted to come in and apologize for acting as if I owned you."

There was nothing Jaejoong could think up to say or do in response to this question, but it wasn't as if it was totally necessary, because a moment later, one of Yunho's gentle hands gently stroked Jaejoong's sleek dark hair while the other hand traced small shapes into the bare flesh of his friend and roommate's arm.

The actions were comfortable in Jaejoong's mind. So much so, that a moment later he had fallen into a peaceful sleep. Not long after walking into the land of dreams, Yunho followed him as he seemed to do in the waking world. It didn't seem to bother either party sharing such a small bed, though a few adjustments did have to eventually be made. In the end, Yunho ended up cradling Jaejoong and their legs became a tangled mess.

It was the best sleep Jaejoong had ever gotten since his time at SM Academy.

"Four days," Jin Hwan smirked, leaning back in his seat and glancing over his shoulder at Dong Wook who shared a similar smirk. "I can't believe you've been getting away with keeping him in your room for four days." He thought for a moment before adding, biting back his laughter as he did so, "And counting."

Dong Wook shoved his friend lightly. "Not just me," he muttered silently, keeping his voice low so that the teacher wouldn't drop in on their conversation, seeing as how his actions could get him expelled.

Ha. As if that would happen.

"Taebin's been helping me out too. Besides," he gave his friend another shove, "practically everyone of the seniors wants Wheesung to stay with them. Don't act as if you had a better plan in mind."

Jin Hwan grinned and shook his head. Originally, when Wheesung had come to visit, they had assumed it would only be for that weekend and offered their dormitories so that he wouldn't have to spend any money staying at shabby hotel that he'd barely spend any time at anyway. But now, Wheesung was reaching his fourth day, and still staying in select dorms. If they were careless, eventually they would all be figured out and punished.

"Just don't get caught, man," Jin Hwan warned lightly, "or else we'll have to run around calling you 'Eight' and how lame is that?" At imagining how stupid he would sound, calling is friend by the rediculous number, he shuddered and shook his head. "I don't think anyone would appreciate sounding like an idiot just to get your attention."

Dong Wook laugh, but quickly composed himself as the teacher shot the two boys a small glare for having dared interrupt her lecture with their conversation and tittering giggles. "I'm warning you two," she said darkly.

"Ye, sansunim," they responded together, trying to look at least somewhat remorseful.

Accepting their apologies, she went back to her lecture on whatever it was teachers lectured about to high school students these days.

Jin Hwan turned fully around the look at Dong Wook, "Party tonight? Rain's?"

"Wouldn't miss it for the world," Dong Wook confirmed, exchanging a quick slap of the hands with his friend before the boy in front of him quickly turned around so that he could properly pretend like he was listening or even caring to what it was the teacher was saying.

Dong Wook's smirk slowly faded as he caught up in his own thoughts, not a single one of them pertaining to the party he would be going to later that night, or the homework assignment he was being issued. Of course his angel was on his mind. Kim Jaejoong was always on Dong Wook's mind, but oddly enough, so was another person much closer to home. He combed his fingers through his hair in attempts to clear his mind to better focus in class, but it was no use.

"Guess I'm just gonna have to ride this thing out," he sighed finally, allowing his thoughts to consume him.

Yenni and May Doni weren't speaking to one another. They had been angry with one another in such a way before, but somehow this was far more deeper than arguments the two sisters had had in the past, and Seung Ri could just feel it. This went several steps beyond sibling rivalry, beyond any sort of anger he had ever picked up from either girl.

There were multiple possibilities that came up in the young boy's mind, but only one stood out from the rest. Only one could have put Yenni so far over the edge that she wouldn't even acknowledge her sister was even alive. "That's got to be it," he muttered silently to himself one day in the cafeteria, watching as the two girls barely even brush past one another.

"What's gotta be it?"

Leave it to Ji Yong to show up at one of the most inconvenient moments of the day.

"He's got to be talking about Yenni and Little Yenni," Young Bae muttered silently to Ji Yong, setting his tray of food at the table Seung Ri had been occupying on his own until just a moment ago. "This argument they're having, whatever it's about, seems so much different than one they've had before."

"Ah," came another familiar voice. Daesung also sat his tray of food down on the table and settled into his usual seat next to Seung Ri and nudged the younger boy slightly, "Do you know what's going on between those two?"

It seemed that everyone couldn't help but pick up on the fact that the girls were pissed at one another. To be perfectly honest, it really wasn't that big of mystery to figure out. The real mystery was why the two were so upset with one another. Whenever asked, Yenni would simply say that her sister was pig headed and selfish, someone who didn't really belong in her family. May Doni would simply respond that she and Yenni were just too different to work this out and wouldn't be apologizing to anyone anytime soon.

Eun Joo and Ji Eun glanced at one another with concerned expressions as Yenni seated herself at their table, chatting away with Bom Lee as if everything in the world was at complete and total peace, though it was quite the opposite.

At least, within the walls of YG Academy.

"You boys worry too much," came Lexy's voice from somewhere behind the group of younger students. They turned around to see her with a bottled water and sporting her volleyball uniform. "Those two are just so much alike, they can't determine who should apologize first. They'll be fine. In the mean time, you all better be making banners for me during volleyball season."

Young Bae shook his head at the older girl and grinned, "Is the training season starting already?"

"Ya!" Baek Kyoung called from across the cafeteria, catching Lexy's attention, "Did you pick the uniforms out yourself, Lexy?" She never received the opportunity to answer as he kept going, "I bet you did, so you could stare at all the girls in their short short short short short--"

Lexy scowled at the short boy, looking as if she were preparing to step on him and crush him like the little bug he most certainly was. It didn't matter that there were ten or so tables separting them. Song Baek Kyoung was going to pay, and pay dearly.

"--short short short-- ACK!"

A gooey green mass smacked the jesting boy right on the nose and causing him to stumble back a ways. Rather than defending their friend and attacking Lexy in a similar fashion, Teddy, Taebin, Jin Hwan, Dong Wook and Wheesung (Taebin: Seriously, man.. You're going to get us caught..) all laughed uncontrollably.

Baek Kyoung shot a glare at his friends before reaching for Teddy's half eaten mashed potatoes and lobbing them across the cafeteria. Of course, the boy's attack was an obvious one, so Lexy had been able to easily dodge it, though Seung Hyun hadn't been so lucky.

"Ya!" He growled in that deep voice of his, glancing across the cafeteria to find out who had decked him with potatoes.

Not that it mattered much, because in the next instant, Ji Yong called out "Food fight!" And began to use Daesung's lunch as ammunition. The insanity was contagious to the point where everyone had been roped in and were tossing their lunch and the lunches of others across the cafeteria.

Jin Hwan and Wheesung managed to sneak out before the administrators would recieve the opportunity to break up the chaotic scene. Lexy had pinned Baek Kyoung to a wall and was shoving a pie in his face, and Teddy had pulled out his phone to record or take pictures of as much as he possibly could.

Dong Wook and Taebin had also left the cafeteria behind, but their destination was not the dormitory. The two laughed as they strode through campus, attempting to rid themselves of the food that had claimed bits and pieces of them. Taebin picked a piece of fruit out of Dong Wook's hair and tossed it to the ground. "You look a straight mess," he commented lightly.

A slight shove was his only answer. Had Dong Wook had a fresh plate of food, he was quite certain that he would have it covering Taebin's frame in a second. "I'm only telling you the truth, man. Sorry to be so blunt about it," Taebin continued on, grinning cheekily.

Again, Dong Wook gave the boy a slight shove, but this time while wiping a bit of gooey mess from himself and spreading the mass across Taebin's face. "Now who looks like a mess?" As if expecting his friend to retaliate, Dong Wook put a bit of distance between them, just to be on the safe side.

But it didn't matter.

In an an instant, Taebin was gathering what mess was on him and chucking it over at Dong Wook, and thus their own battle of food had begun.

From across the way, Jin Hwan and Wheesung watched the two of them, small smiles tugging at the corner of their lips. "He has his moments of being human," Jin Hwan muttered silently, watching as Dong Wook tackled Taebin to the ground and pinned him there.

"Only around Tae," Wheesung agreed silently. A thoughtful frown took over that small smile, however, as a though occurred to him. "I still don't like that he has eyes for that SM boy."

Jin Hwan glanced at Wheesung curiously, "Is it because he's an SM brat or what?"

For a long moment, silence was the only answer Wheesung delivered to Jin Hwan, but finally, the boy drew breath to respond. "To be perfectly honest," he began slowly, "that guy probably wouldn't be too bad for Seven, but I don't think he should be going through Jung Yunho's refridgerator for a meal when he already has a five star restaraunt at his disposal."

"Five star restaraunt, huh?" Jin Hwan shook his head and smirked at the analogy. "You certainly do have a way with words, my friend."

Wheesung grinned, "But enough about those clowns. What about you? I know you've probably gone through the entire female population of YG Academy by now."

"Ani," he laughed, "but I've abandoned that goal. I have my eyes on this one girl, but she's unobtainable." Jin Hwan fell into a thoughtful silence and allowed his gaze and mind to wander elsewhere. Wheesung crossed his arms over his chest and allowed the silence to embrace them both, feeling that Jin Hwan probably needed the reflection time. The term 'unobtainable', when in pursuit of someone, was an extreme word that was rarely used amongst them.

To them, unobtainable meant by no means accepted. The perfect example would be Dong Wook's infatuation with the SM's Jaejoong. His past relationship with overly psychotic Boa.

The senior class had to work hard in order to keep news about Dong Wook's relationship with SM's queen under wraps, and it seemed too few knew about his current infactuation for there to be any need for such dramatic measures.

"Unobtainable, huh?" Wheesung with a small smirk. Things could only get interesting from here.
