... it pays to be patient ..
I tried signing up with photobucket .. I put in happzen and not happyzen .. thats stupid. Then I cancelled the account.
NO account for another 48 hours .. gggrr ..
It's thursday night .. i'm kind of stuck at work. I would have liked to have gone shopping .. see I had to go to Tottenham court Rd for Physio ... which required a £13.20 ticket .. which is about $35 for those Aussies that's might read this .. it's £1 ~ $2.50 expensive I know .. ANYWAY, I thought I might take the bus to Kingston .. I have to buy Garden State for Susan and Just Jack for Hernan ..
But I wasn't sure .. so I was checking my pockets and on a random note said to Claire "want a travel pass?"
and she was like YEAH I'M going into Wimbeldon .. "
And yoinked it outta my hand!!
I was like .. erm .. and she was like .. if you need it let me know .. i'll find you at the end of the day in case.
But she never found me, and I was in the labs when she left ...
Oh well .. it might be better .. I'd have spent money if i'd have gone :-) I'll spend some next week :-)
But seriously, transport is HEAPS expensive!! :-)
But then I am catching an overground .. but then compared to Australia, all the trains there are overground, and the "tubes" systems and undergrounds don't exist, but transport is still hella cheap!! Anyway, I think Australian infrastructure because it's newer is a little bit better equiped for things like that .. it's all relative.
I love going into Central London in the mornings .. this is the second appointment at 8am .. which means I hit peak hour and I LOVE IT!! I suppose I do have a romantised ideas about everything, but I really do love the hustle and bustle of the main stations .. I again walk around with a dumb smile on my face while I get jostled around :-) And I ALWAYS have an egg and cheese bagel and coffee :-D It's like a tradition. Ever since Ronia and Z were here .. every time I'd sleep at theirs and leave back for work in the morning, i'd have a bagel. So it's like a tribute to those very good very first, very special times here :-). God I miss them. Not only were they company, but they are good friends .. at least I know they'll be waiting for me back home.
I can't wait to see everyone again and catch up etc .. I got an email from a friend who's b/f is off curing the outback of eye diseases, and it's been decided that we're going to gig the 6 mths he's away. I hope she knows that since my being oh so adventurous here, I fully expect the same to continue back home :-)
I want to see gig's at the Basement .. that's a MUST on my things to do in Australia list. :-)
So yeah .. and my physio has been here for like 6 months, but hasn't really done much, so we're going together on a bus tour on sunday. Random? Completely :-) But she's uber cool and laughs easily :-)
I suppose becuase she's in the same situation, she knows exactly what i'm going through. 45 minutes, despite MUCH pain went very quickly.
She's in a shared huose though which I would totally do .. had I have known or had been here longer. Who knows .. I really wanna come back .. maybe :-)
Another completely random thing? I met another person I suppose now is my friend in a random way .. her name is Mel, and she set off the fire alarm once in the units .. :-)
The next night, I couldn't figure out how to use the washing machine, so I knocked on her door, and after a 20 minute corridor conversation .. she invited me to watch DVD's!!
She was on a trail period for a job ..
That weekend, she came with Anna and I to explore central London (she's from Canterbury or near there) .. so she doesn't know any one here either.
Anyway, last night she texted and she's got the job!! Which means (a)she needs an apartment but (b) .. she's wondering what I'm up to this weekend :-)
It's really hard not having "instant" friends .. but I reckon I'm doing ok.
Now my concern is .. becuase I'm always stressing 2 months in advance .. all these cool people .. my work friends and these random people I'm meeting .. what's going to happen when I go back to Oz?
It's really sad how you nurture relationships and then you have to bail ...
Well like I said .. there's Sunday .. which is Ana Lindsay and I going to Leeds Castle White Cliffs/Dover Canterbury .. and Green sthg .. I don't know .. the bus driver will :-D
Next week looks like this ..
Wed - GoKarting! That's right 3 teams from my work again 5 other science companies .. and WE@RE GOING TO KICK ASS!!! I drive like a mad person ..
OOOOOOOOOH speaking of which, Chris took me for a spin in his TVR!! :-) (it's not his so much as he's minding it for his friend :-D)
OMG that car is like the BAT MOBILE seriously! And it's LOUD AND HOT!! :-) And drew much attention, and the Lebanese hoon in me loved every moment :-D
Anyway go carting .. it's a work thing .. and the CEO is coming :-O

AAANNNNDDD he's ON MY TEAM!!!! Woah ..
But we're going to win. Because I never lose ;-)
And Thursday i'm going to theater to see Jimeoin
And Friday the Museum to see an exhibition! :-)
Oh i've been to the John Soames Museum to catch a "museum by candlelight" .. and it was just brilliant seeing all the sculptures and everything illuminated by candlelight .. it's eerie and everything! The house is like 200 years old .. and very spookie :-) They only light the candles in the winter when there's no sun past 5pm .. so it only happens 6 times a year. so not even many Brits get to se that :-)
Nice .. I feel satisfied .. :-)
I suppose you just have to suck it all in ..
and live life with mind, heart and arms open.
