yen is finally well but our grand plans to do several things on nye were thwarted because (1) puppet show tix for today are all sold out (2) hcm mausoleum is closed on mondays and fridays (3) by the time we reached back to the guesthouse last night, it was too late to book the cooking class that would commence at 8am today.
so here we are 1045am on nye, having woke up at 8am and visited the temple of literature and nothing much to do and nowhere else to go.. well we can go shopping and to the markets but i have no idea how we are going to pass the rest of the time. hope to meet up with our new friends from halong bay later for the countdown at least.
my stomach is still not at its best. in fact, i feel like the stomach and the bowel system are separated from the rest of the body. throughout the several diarrhoea days, i feel totally fine, don't feel weak at all and i eat normal but the stomach would churn and there's a constant dull ache at the pit. and the runs.. sigh..i've been really good though.. no alcohol at all.. nearly caved in when the fellow travellers were drinking beer while on the sundecks at halong bay (trust me, it was a very good beer moment) but i cannot imagine what the yeast would do to my tummy. don't want to not be able to turn up at wai's hen night. anyway hope this crazy out-of-body experience would go away soon! like tonight! so that we can have a wonderful celebration and return safe and virus-free.
enjoy the last day of 2010, and happy new year!
