The sunny weather held long enough for us to visit the ‘birds of prey’ exhibit over at
Wild Wings at Mendon Ponds yesterday. It’s a small walk through the section of the park housing birds that have been rescued and can’t live in the wild. Below are a few photos to share

and here's a fun fact - i wish IIII could barf as a defense mechanism! seriously. how handy would that be!? "oh, you want my wallet *blaaaaarrrrrrrrrrgh* but it's covered in upchuck..."

and the cat was adorable and very large! i'd never seen one in person before--i can only imagine that damage it could do with its claws if it weren't so friendly.

we have a small fake lake thing in front of my apt complex, and there are always birds, ducks, mallards, canadian geese out there. (like chirping their heads off right outside my window.) last week we saw a blue heron. neato. oh, and there are turtles too i guess, but turtles dont fly.

and i guess bobcats don't fly either! ...so my posting 'title' doesn't really make any sense now that i see it! :-P
