Well! It certainly is lovely to be back! Goodness, for a while there I very nearly lost hope -- but then I remembered that everyone on the Way and I are connected in our very souls by the strings of love, and that all I had to do was follow my heart and I would be certain to find my way back!
I do hope my disappearance did not cause any undue concern! You see, I had just popped out for one teensy little second, and there was this orphanage that had caught fire -- an orphanage for puppies! Puppies...with terminal diseases! Oh dear. I couldn't just leave the poor things! And since I was only going to be gone for one itsy-bitsy moment, I didn't take my journal, and by the time I got back to the dock the Way was gone and -- well. That whole horrifying experience is over now, of course. I made my way back as quickly as possible, trekking through deserts and forests, eating plants and mushrooms -- and goodness, but I must have been in an enchanted forest, because I saw some very magical things after I ate some of those mushrooms! -- and eventually I caught up and now I am back here with everyone, right where I belong! (Oh, and thank you very much, whoever left me this lovely paper bird -- goodness, it's too pretty to unfold; I think I will just leave it right here on my dresser! That was thoughtful of you!)
And I would like to wish a great big belated welcome to all the new crew members! I am Giselle, and I shall be fulfilling all of your desserty needs from now on! I do so look forward to getting to know each and every single one of you!

I do hope that you have been getting enough dessert while I was gone! Oh dear, I know that you are very particular about what constitutes sufficient dessert quantities.
If anything like this ever happens again, there is an emergency stash of chocolate cookies hidden in the back of the top left cupboard in the kitchen, in the tin marked 'Healthy Vegetables'. Use them wisely!
