First update over seas? Oh man, I guess I'm moving along here. I know I haven't updates in quite sometime but let's be serious, you weren't really holding out on an update from me for some time were you.
So, after everyone went back to school and I worked 2 jobs for 4 weeks, I had to quit those jobs because they would be getting in the way of me catching my flights on the 12th. So yes I am currently in Australia and loving every second of it. I have not met a single person who I do not like. Last night though, I ran into my roommate at a party where she told me not to go there because none of them were very nice. I was surprised to hear that, but oh well.
It is extremely hot down here. There have been a few days that the rain has cooled us off, but other than that my body has not adjusted to the heat. It is certainly strange to be here though. It doesn't feel like anything out of the ordinary, just another place I'm living where I can drink freely (sort of, if our security guard Rich isn't in a bad mood and doesn't bust up our parties), where instead of deer I have to walk past a field of kangaroos, where people drive on the left side of the road which could lead to me looking the wrong way and getting blindsided, and where parrots chill on top of light poles rather than stuck inside of cages.
This place is beautiful and I have met some of the most wonderful people here. You meet someone new everyday, and I have already cemented friendships with many of the people here all because we spent one drunken night together.
My mind is still fried at the moment and I'm sure there are many other things I should be sharing, but I'm still tired because I haven't been able to sleep past 6 until this morning. I miraculously slept till 8, I want to blame in on the fact that we skipped three days due to flying.
