Summing up the Week
Our Ivry can't go to sleep without a sum-up so i will present a larger scale vision of things:
Plusses:
1. H seems to be enjoying work, the customer relations department has turned out to be cook friendly and he proves a good fit
2. This year is going to be interesting in terms of career exploration and writing path. I seem to be sccessful in focusing and getting down to the nitty gritty side of writing.
3. Ivry speaks English wonderfully!
3. My work teaching the Shaliach's two twin daughters seems to be a good intermittent period of work for supplementing income.
4.I joined SCWBI and will attend the November 17th conference in Pittsburgh.
5. Birthday's rolling up sharply on November 10th - Made already a pre-birthday wish list - http://ivrydavid.blogspot.com with lots of comments on how to improve my inner/outer quality of life.
6. The foliage season has approached in due time. The colors are awesome.
7. We'll be visiting NYC during the Thanksgiving weekend and we will have dinner with my old childhood friends - The Bassett who live down the hall from my mom, and will meet Ruah, another old time childhood friend, who we couldn't meet when we were in NYC. There are a few others we hope to meet as well.
Just a few Whines
1. It's annoying not being able to have a car, nor feel comfortable to rent one. Since settling is still very much an issue, we don't know how long this period will be.
2. Ivry's eye puffed - must be some kind of allergic reaction.Spent the entire afternoon at the Children's Hospital today to receive a dose of Benadryl. *sigh* but Ivry cried and said, :"My eye hurts me." so we went.
3. Wish we had family and friends more closeby.
Well, not bad from travelling trans-Atlantically. When I look past at former LJ's I realize that the hardest part is behind us and we truly have come a long way.
