First of all, I remembered trash day today! WOOT!
Moving on...
Doodimus showed up at my bedside this morning demanding milk. Like any good mother I told my two year old to go the refrigerator and get his own. It is a common demand and a common response in our house. Which is why there are three milk filled sippy cups lined up in a row on the middle shelf of the fridge every morning for them.
Off he scampered to begin his morning routine.
But then he came back. "Here Mommy."
I peeked one eye open just in time to be whacked in the nose with an empty sippy cup and then sucker punched in th gut with a half full gallon milk jug which he heaved two handed up onto the bed.
Grunting in pain and mumbling to myself, I stumbled out of bed to assist him.
He's very clever, that Doodimus, because obviously I had to get up and remind him where his already full milk was hiding. And while I was up I might as well cook him a waffle, change his diaper and drink some coffee. And if I stayed up long enough to do all that, I might as well just stay up.
Cold, dark Alaskan mornings are evil. But sweet, chubby, smiley Doodimuses are the perfect antidote.
