Bad Mother and TMI Entry

Henry is driving me insane. He is adorable but such a brat. And today he secured himself a nice little present in the form of a crate. Sophie still stays in her crate. I highly, HIGHLY recommend it. She doesn't mind it. And my friend's Sheltie, Jack, loves his! It makes them feel safe.

I think puppies destroy things because they get bored...and scared, hence the destruction on doors and the like. If you need any tips ('cause I know I wouldn't have been able to do it without my friend Judy's guidance...and a million books and Internet research!), let me know. Sophie is a handful and way too much energy, so I totally understand!

Everyone had recommended the crate training, but I guess since neither of us had ever done it we didn't think we needed to. But what you said about it makes total sense and I know it's the best course of action. Plus I can sleep easy knowing the Henry isn't wandering around chewing on cable wires or anything.

And I am sure I will have plenty of questions arise. I didn't realize that I knew so very little about training a dog! So thank you in advance!
