w00ty weekend
First I went up to Jasonland to collect him and some of his stuff to move down here. We stashed it at my sister's apartment for the time being since we'll be moving down the way from her. And Jason met my nephews, Brodie and Jamie, Tish's little kitties. Cute as fuck, but deadly claws (ow).
While here, we did some furniture shopping, but it was more like furniture looking. We kinda got an idea on what we like, but havent made concrete decisions yet. We're gonna get all new furniture and everything, so we (i) can decorate from scratch. Yay blank canvas.
Sunday was the Radiohead concert. To take Jason's supposedly self-coined catchphrase, it was "awesomesauce". I sang and danced to everyone of their songs since I knew the lyrics to all the ones performed unlike the last time I saw em back in '03. I remember thinking back then that seeing them was a once in a lifetime thing. Yay for good things coming back 'round.
As soon as Jason left, I was thrown back into the world of roller derby. Had another practice, another grueling practice. I really really really wanna get better, but I have no real place to practice on my own that isnt outdoors. I dont have outdoor wheels and I dont wanna ruin the ones I have currently. Early one Saturday morning I went to work to skate the hallways. The floors are ok, but there still isnt enough room for lots of maneuvering. I was hoping to lose some more weight with all the training, but that is not the case. I do think I'm getting leaner/tighter though. Hopefully I can keep this up for awhile longer.
