I have a shuttle picking me up at 4:20 for my 7am flight. It is now 3am and I have a song about enemas (by The Hidden Cameras) stuck in my head. I actually did try to sleep but have since given up, for obvious reasons.
My poor little neglected livejournal should really not be neglected and I expect (but cannot absolutely promise) that after the holidays I will start updating once again. People have been telling me they want to hear about my adventures in Los Angeles and I suppose I don't want to disappoint by saying they've been unexciting but that's mostly the truth. I have met some nice people, bought some overpriced groceries, hiked some sunny canyons, and tripped over people taking pictures of Michael Jackson's star on the walk of fame but I'm not sure these count as adventures. Maybe they do, which is why in the future I will update more. Oh and Kat, thank you so much for that coupon thing, once I figure out how to use it I will surely enjoy it! <3
I don't mean to give the wrong impression; things are coming along here. I have a lot of plans to get certain things settled after the holidays. Sometimes it feels like I've been here a lot longer than a month. Sometimes I love it out here. Sometimes I hate it out here. Over all, I expected that I suppose, and most other people I talk to out here feel the same way.
In any event, I will home from tomorrow to the 4th so I hope I see some of you guys. (I miss you Holly B.)
I haven't taken a lot of photos out here yet, but when I was hiking Runyon last week I took a few so here they are:
Not the top of the canyon yet, but still a pretty view!
The sky looks super blue in this one
A Chad Darnell-esque photo of my leg. I think only Beth will appreciate this photo :-D
