More thoughts on Prop. 8
I am glad to see activism when it comes to this issue specially from those who are straight. This really helps to create the argument that the issue of gay marriage is a civil right and not a moral one. Well then again to have your union blessed under the sacrament of God is a moral option and this is also important for those who believe in the blessing of God and their families. Again let me be clear I believe that the recognition of a Union by a legal stance is a right if we all pay the same in taxes.
Now Church or Religion feels different but that doesn't mean that religious representatives are correct after all they felt the same way about millions of people throughtout our history here on this rock. The headons and uncivilized paid a heavy price for their difference look at all the native tribes world wide who lost their lives to conversion. A religious argument is my opinion is worth nothing on the base of what they think God feels.
They have been horrifically wrong in the past on many many times.
Now in order for dialogue and understanding to take place we must now take a logically argument. One based on facts, truth and understanding. We must get to the HEART of the matter if you will. We can not fight against an establishment that is as old as time itself but we can change it. Remember hates breeds more hate so when we go out and protest if front of Churches we must not engage in the hate and violence.
NON VIOLENCE NON VIOLENCE!!! this will win our case. If we resort to the lowest levels then we are no better off then the opposition.
