The word abomination is define as the following;
1. anything abominable; anything greatly disliked or abhorred.
2. intense aversion or loathing; detestation: He regarded lying with abomination.
3. a vile, shameful, or detestable action, condition, habit, etc.: Spitting in public is an abomination.
1350-1400; ME ab(h)ominacioun < LL abōminātiōn- (s. of abōminātiō). this is the origin.
The word is a hebrew translation found in the book of Exodus. Or so we believe. The thing about the bible is that it is a book comprise of many books whom origins is believe to be that from Jesus deciples and various other Jewish prophets. However the bible itself was a creation from the Romans during the era of Constantine. Mostly to try an settle the bickering and fighting that began to take a grip of the Roman Empire. Between the Pagans and new Christians.
Religious groups claim they do everything for God and its wonderful love all philosophy. However the history of Religion is anything but love. It is one filled with hate and intolorence and murder. In fact the awful word of abomination has its origins in the bible. I am not an abomination as I do not feel in my heart that whatever power was involved in my creation didn't do it to make an abomination. My existance on this planet can be chalk up to perhaps irresponsible adults taking part in a sexual activities but not an abomination.
Now below is a list of religious leaders who backed up YES on Prop 8. Until we as a race can stand up for all of those who are different in the eyes of religious zealots, politicians and whomever feels the need to oppress this world will never be at peace. I am posting this list not to create disturbance but to bring about change. LOVE is not a condition based on pre-conceived notions but unconditional without rules and regulations. If God is Love then Love can no longer be a political or religious prisoner. It is time to free LOVE and in turn Free God.
In total, well over a thousand individual congregations in Greater Los
