I'm sitting in Clinical Exam lecture in which we are going over GU/Rectal. It is a glorious time and always grand. We don't have lab today, so that makes me happy. I am so behind with school work. Obviously U of M has a very well known medical school, but I also have been told by many that it's harder to get into their med school if you went there for undergrad. I know a couple of people who have done it, so it kinda depends on the kind of student you are. If you were to take the MSU MD med scholar program I still recommend taking the MCAT. I know the test sucks, but I think that it is something that everyone should take just to experience it. I know when my friend was a DO scholar she just had to graduate with a certain gpa and she would get in. I don't think they required a MCAT score. I don't know if the MD med scholar is the same or not.
I have to go study for an exam tomorrow. I hope that this helps you. If you have any other questions let me know. If I think of anything else I'll tell you.

I've signed up for Lyman Briggs so that is where I'll go if I go. I want to make sure that the people at Briggs are also striving to go to med/dent/do, etc school because I sill want to be among motivated students. Do you find that this is the case?
One of draws of the med scholars program is that I want to study abroad for a semester or year and it doesn't seem like I'll be able to do that at UM as much because of studying for MCATs and the application process. How have premeds arranged study abroads during the academic year, or are there many that study abroad at all?
