Hello world!
I had a good week. Creative writing is very good, we have a chug with our madricha and it is so good to do something expressive as well as all the learning and absorbing.
Shabbat was very enjoyable. Maale Hagilboa is really pretty. And we saw baby cows! And sung and davened and ate and talked and hiked on Friday, and got wet in the rain, and went on a siyur of the kibbutz and realized how amazing it is to live there, in the middle of nowhere. You really feel like your settling Israel being there, all around you is nothing, and there you are living there with your community. We also saw the beit midrash of the Yeshiva there that was very cool. They're very open to all sorts of different things and their library had so many different types of books I'd want to read. It made me excited!
On the siyur the guy was telling us about how Gidon fought there with so few men and tricked the enemy into thinking that there were much more of them, and it reminded me of things that happend in the Yom Kippur war where one tank talked on the rado as though he had a whole troup with him and that made me think about the miracle of our return, of living here, of how whatever nation stands up against us, when Hashem stands by our side, and we stand together they can't overcome us. And it was so pretty there... Yay for this beautiful country!
Last night a bunch of us went out for icecream in town. Was fun, and cold, and tasty. :)
So I feel like I'm getting to know people more and I'm looking forward to this week. I really like Sundays.
I hope you all have good weeks, and I'm looking forward to seeing people on Shabbat!
Abi
:)
