Blah blah blah

My days continue to be pretty quiet. This morning I drove out to Avondale to go to JoAnn's and get the finishing touches for the skirt I knitted. I needed an elastic band for the waist and a ribbon for the back corset-type decoration. It turned out good, but also kind of ridiculous: it's so girly! I ended up getting kind of a ridiculous ribbon. There will be photos when I shave and when I recharge my camera battery. Conveniently, there was a Sprouts right by the JoAnn's, so I picked up a few provisions. And that's about all I've done today. I thought Stephanie and I were going to have lunch today before she flew back to DC, but I never heard from her. So I had leftovers here at home and then took a nap.

Now I'm awake and put the carnitas on to cook for supper. I'm hoping for the chutzpah to take myself out to Teakwood's to see Dead Hot Workshop tonight. It's silly to be anxious about going out to a show alone; it's not like I've never done it. I do stuff alone all the time that other people wouldn't consider doing, like going to the movies or to concerts or on long road trips, but I've never been to this joint so I don't know what to expect. Also I wonder if anyone I know but haven't seen in a long time will be there, aside from Thomas the bass player, obviously. But I hope it will be fun, and I hope I can stay awake since the flyer said 9:30 and that's kind of late for me these days.

All this hockey talk all over the internet makes me miss the Roadrunners a lot, but it's also nice to see all this hockey talk all over the internet!
