Today is my last day of relaxation in the last land of the Elves. The reason I say elves is because we have a lot of trees here, and it reminds me of LOTR in that way. Anyway, tomorrow my brother, mother and I are driving to Chicago, we will stay there for a day then fly home. Joe has had a sudden change of plans and has decided to stay one more week. Lucky man, I would stay, but I also need to do some stuff at home.
I am writing today's entry now and not later, because I won't feel like it later, when we all reflect on the vacation and get ready for tomorrow. Tomorrow should be good, mainly because I am going to check out a college, Hillsdale College it is called. It looks like a great school and I want to check it out. My grandparents have both urged me to look at it as well, and I am going that way anyhow, so I might as well check it out.
This vacation has been like a really long meditation session, I have been able to reflect on my life and think about my future, and where I want to go. I have a private journal that I do that kind of writing in. But the trip has certaily helped me organize my goals for the future. The only thing stopping me at this point is laziness. Fortunatly, I am pretty good about starting and finishing what I start, I did get a Black Belt in Aikido after all. Only 5 percent of the MA students actually reach Black Belt! So I feel if I am driven, which I am, and if I have a clear goal, I will succeed.
I am glad I came, I might not have come if I did get a job. Funny how sometimes failure in one thing can actually result in long term success. Anyhow, I will find a job when I get back, I am sure of that.
