Cars
Today my brother and I went to see the new Pixar movie "Cars". My general feeling of the movie is meh. It was ok, catches only a tiny fraction of the magic pixar's older movies possessed. It was a noble attempt to personify americas favorite mode of transportation, but it just fell flat. There were some cute moments, and some funny moments, but nothing really laugh out loud or any real WOW factor the older movies had. Perhaps my standards are to high? Or maybe they are just trying to run with their name and not really make the highest quality movies they can? I'm sure its a little of both, after all its been almost 10 years since "Toy Story" one came out when they used complete computer animation to make a movie. That was the coolest thing anybody had ever seen, and it had a cool and funny story to boot! Now, I tend to expect more. Unwise? Maybe.
I wouldn't say the movie is bad by any means, and if you want to see it, I would say see it. My opinion is mine alone, and the movie did have enjoyable parts to it, it just at least -to me- not on par for Pixar
