alym0use and I spent yesterday evening with taeha and hawkstone to celebrate his birthday. We went for sushi at the Sumo Lounge (first time I've gotten to experience the sushi boats!) and then over to their place to watch some DVDs (SNL's best of Mike Meyers... I love Dieter ( Read more... )

This of it this way: pretty much any car you could buy has wheels and will get you from point A to point B. You could buy a Honda Whatever, that is more or less effective, but the transmission has a tendency to drop out and sometimes it belches fire.

Or, you could spend more money, and get a Mercedes or a beamer: something that's been well engineered, is better looking and that you're proud of. In the strictly pragmatic sense, it still only does car things, but it also has that swank factor. Y'know? Style. Performance. Sex appeal.
