Re: Project Runway tonight .... when they showed the episode's twist I was so pissed off that I nearly threw a pair of 50$ dressmaking scissors at the television. If I had been there, I would've been guzzling the champagne right next to Kayne.

I'm sad about Kayne leaving. I'm not really surprised. He was my first favorite designer and the one I picked immediately to go all the way to the top. It's too bad he couldn't raise the taste level, although I think he was on his way to it, and if he had started listening to Tim a few weeks ago, it might've made a difference. At this point, although I love Uli, I would rather have Kayne than Uli in the final three, because I at least see Kayne's potential to do something really great, whereas I've grown less and less impressed with Uli with every identical dress she sends down the runway.

My bets are on Michael to win. I love him so much there aren't even words. Has anybody noticed that he always congratulates the winner? He's such a gentleman. SO MUCH LOVE.

You know, I've been forgetting to mention this, but we've all been really excited; my school, the Academy of Art University, was invited to exhibit their MFA collections at New York Fashion Week last week. We're the only university that is invited to do so; you could ask about, I dunno, Parsons or FIT, but as my teacher said, apparently we're better than them. Ha!

Actually, I've been really defensive about my school for a few years. It has an 80% + drop-out rate, which leads to a lot of bitter ex-students, who bash its education model of focusing on marketable talent rather than artistic quality. Funnily enough, that's exactly the reason I chose to go there; I'd rather be employable than artsy and if you really want to be avant garde, there's the Art Institute up the hill, which apparently is so artistic that one student was raped by another in the name of "performance art."

Yeeeeeah.

This icon always feels so appropriate when I want to talk about fashion stuff. Heeehee.
