Puke, Barf, Upchuck, etc.

I hate it when my kid is crying and crying, and I brush it off like, "Okay, yeah, whatever. STOP!" And then they go and do something like puke, and then I feel bad that I wasn't more loving and caring before.

Poor Laurie Loo.

Andrew had to go to church tonight to help with a youth activity, so I thought I'd be cool mom and take the kids to a restaurant with a play place. We walked through the door, I looked at the menu, and wham. Lauren puked on me, her, and the floor. I was surprised at how nice everybody was about it. A girl that worked there gave me napkins and asked if she could get Lauren some water. This little boy came and gave me another stack of napkins. And this guy asked me if I needed wipes. They also told me to just leave it on the floor and they would handle it. I still wiped up most of it. Because I remember how one time we found a turd in the floor at Coconuts that someone had left, and that was not cool at all. So I try really hard to clean up after my own kids in a public place.

Mostly today was good, though. It was a bright and sunny day and slightly chilly. Well, this morning was down right cold, but it warmed up. I ran. I cleaned out the garage so Andrew can park there, too. The kids and I went for a nature walk complete with throwing rocks in a pond, seeing a dead animal, climbing on big rocks and proclaiming we're kings of the world, looking at animal tracks, adding rocks to a rock collection, and playing on a playground. It was really fun.

I got in a bad mood later, though, b/c this kid said something rude about Evan. My Momma claws came out, but I have to remember that I'm the adult, and he's just a kid. But sometimes... I'd like to punch kids in the face. Just the ones who say mean things about my kids, though. The rest are fine. And even cute sometimes.

But not as cute as mine. Duh.

I sure hope Lauren's puking is a one time thing, but I doubt it is. I put a bucket in her bed, and I showed her how to puke in it by pretending to puke in it, and she thought that was funny. Evan was really sad that Lauren's puke ruined our party. He's a good big brother, though, and prayed for her before I put them in bed. He's so sweet.

I miss living in the country. Our nature walk was so nice today. One day maybe I'll be able to convince Andrew to move back to the country... maybe...

Well, he should be home soon. I better go. I hope this night isn't a long one filled with puke.
