During the day I have multiple instances when I think, "I need to write in my livejournal about that!" Of course, now that I actually get the chance... I can't remember any of those. Figures.
I've been reading The Princess Diaries. (It seriously took me like 6 times to write "princess.") I honestly didn't even know there were actual books called The Princess Diaries until my sister-in-law Anna told me one day. I've seen the movie so many times. I own the movie. Didn't know there were books. That's right. Plural. I just finished book 2. There's a ton. And, surprisingly, they're quite a bit different than the movie. Disney really made it more... Disney-ish. And there were a ton of changes.
**Spoiler Alert** For one, in the books, she lives in Manhattan, not San Francisco. Her Dad is, surprise, ALIVE! Her Grandmother is not a sweet Julie Andrews type, but a huge butt hole with eyeliner tattooed on her eyelids. Her mom does date her teacher in the movie, but what they don't mention is that they shack up, and she gets pregnant with his baby. And Mia (the main character) does not have huge bushy dark hair. She has yucky mousy colored hair. And she's a freshman, which I'm pretty sure in the movie, she's a sophomore. Anyway, the books are still good and funny. And it's actually kinda cool that they changed so much b/c it makes reading the book less boring. I generally can't read books after I've watched the movie. It bothers me. I just wish I had known about these books in high school. They would be so much more fun to read then. It's not like I can really fantasize about being a princess and going out with my best friend's brother any more, now can I? haha
Evan just ran out of the bathroom naked and asked me to smell him. For the record, he did smell really good.
Lauren does not. But she's about to get a bath.
So I should probably go do that. Tonight has been good so far. Andrew is HOME! We grilled out pork steaks! We ate outside on our picnic table! so far so... GREAT! :) Happy First Day of Spring Tomorrow!!
Note: When I started to type in the tag "book" the first suggestion it made was "booger." Yup, I'm a mom. Ha!
