Curious George is smarter than the Man with the Yellow Hat

I set a goal to read the Old Testament this year. I'm to Genesis 35 at the moment. I've never read the Old Testament before, and I gotta tell ya... it's weird. I spend most of my time being really confused and wondering what the heck is going on. The rest of the time is spent skimming over "So and so begat so and so." It IS amusing to read at times... and also slightly disturbing. I don't know. It's just weird. The Book of Mormon is so easy to understand. And I've read part of the New Testament, and it's pretty easy to understand. So is the Doctrine and Covenants and Pearl of Great Price (mostly). But the Old Testament? I'm lost.

Anyway, I'm going to start piano lessons next week. I'm excited about it. My sister-in-law Megan offered to teach anyone who wanted to learn for church free of charge. We're without a pianist in Relief Society at the moment, and it was pretty rough Sunday... so I thought I'd take her up on her offer. I can play a little bit already, but I'm probably not doing it right. I tried to teach myself as a teenager. I can play the right hand fairly well, but when I get both hands going, it gets rough. So, yeah, I'm excited to learn something new. 'Twill be fun.

I got delete happy on facebook yesterday. I "removed connections." I don't know what got into me. It started out as a small clean-out and turned into an all out massacre. I had a little over 700 friends, and now I'm down to 477. I think... all I know is after the first draft of deletes, I was at 500 something. So maybe I started at 600 something. I don't know. I decided that if I didn't really talk to those people in person when I knew them, why the heck should I give them the opportunity to see into my personal life at their convienience? Am I right? Of course, I am. So, there.

Today is my Dad's 60th birthday. That just seems like the age where you are officially old. It's weird b/c I don't think of my Dad as old, but when I hear about a 60 year old, i automatically think "OLD!"

One day I will be old, too... I don't like to think about it. At all. I think I'm going to move to Never Land (but not Michael's place) and become a Lost Boy Girl. What a great plan! I'm a genius.

Lauren just found a baby bottle filled with water and cried until I took the lid off, so she could drink it. Whatever makes her happy, I guess.

Ha, funny thing. Lauren eats and enjoys lemons and onions. I gave her a green onion to see her reaction, and she ate the WHOLE THING. She had some rank breath after that, too. It's especially funny b/c my mom also loved lemons and onions. It must be in the genes. :)

Welp, that's all I can think of for now. Blabbity blah blah. bye.
