Potty on Mother's Day
Evan has been doing really well with the potty today and it makes me happpyyy! He peed in his underwear once, BUT he realized it and finished it in the potty! PROGRESS! He hasn't gone poop yet, so I'm nervous... He keeps farting, and I'm worried that at any moment he's going to poop on my furniture. haha
I had a fun moment with him earlier. He went pee by himself. (He wouldn't let me in! He shut the door in my face! haha) And when he finished, he started jumping up and down and saying, "I big boy!" So I started jumping up and down with him. We high fived and "pounded it" and danced around. haha It was fun. Celebrate good times!
How was everyone else's mothers day? Mine was kinda lame. First of all, I don't really like mother's day anyway b/c my mom is dead. And it never helps that all the talks at church are about mothers and how great everyone's mother is. Evan was a whiney butt all day which drove me crazy. Andrew did get my watch fixed (which made me super happy), but he really didn't pamper me in anyway. I mean, I don't expect much, but he usually at least fixes me lunch or something. He didn't even tell me Happy Mothers' Day until after we heard all these talks about mothers' day at church. And then at church, this lady came up to me and said, "I just want you to know, it's not you. Evan is a hard kid to deal with." Which I think was meant to make me feel better, but it really didn't. It just made me think that everyone thinks my kid is a horrible kid when he's not. Church is just really hard for an active 2 year old.
We did go visit my Granny last night which was nice. We got to play upwords with my uncle sammy. he beat us mercilessly. We're going back tuesday night to play with Granny. I'm excited. I really love my Granny. She's a very special lady. My mom's mom, by the way.
Anyway, enough of mother's day. I'm probably just being a whiney baby about it anyway.
hm, okay, after much thought and deliberation, I realize I don't have anything to say. Sorry for the whiney post. Oh, the potty timer just went off, so I really gotta go now.
