Who's got high speed? We do! We do!

Well, it's sort of high speed. We got the wireless card thingy from Alltel and once they finish merging with Verizon, we'll have super high speed. Right now, it's just twice as fast as dial-up, which is still pretty awesome to me. We were going to get Verizon, but they charged you for the card thingy (like my terminology?) and you only get 5GB a month. Alltel is the same price as verizon per month and you get unlimited usage. and that's a two year contract, folks, so even when they complete the merge with Verizon, we will still have that deal. pretty sweet, huh?

This week has been so busy. so very busy. Here's a few noteworthy things from each day:

Monday - Lauren's appointment in B'ham (though unnecessarily long) went well. 12 1/2 lbs!!
Tuesday - I hate the health department. So much.
Wednesday - I put a poop smeared pacifier in Lauren's mouth. Accidently, of course. Potty training sucks. I felt inadequate as a mother.
Thursday - Evan is doing better with potty training and had dry underwear all day. (Except for poop) I finished cleaning our house for Andrew's family to visit and felt like super mom again.
Friday - Evan says he's a "big boy" and likes getting candy for going potty. Still working on the poop.

This is the first day I've been able to sit and do nothing. Actually, I have other thing I should be doing, but I'm not b/c I'm enjoying this new internet. We've been without internet all week b/c the storm fried our dial-up modem. So we canceled our land line and got this. And as soon as Andrew can get the antenna to work right and gets his DVR he's building working, we're going to get rid of the satellite.

Anyway, this has probably been the most productive week I've had in a long time.

Oh, let me elaborate on poor Lauren and the poop paci. So she was sitting in her bouncy seat being good, but as I left the room, she started fussing. I went back in and grabbed her paci which had fallen by her leg in the bouncy seat and stuck it in her mouth. When I did, I saw this green blob on it. I took it out and realized that she had exploded poop into her bouncy seat and it had gotten on her paci... the one I had just stuck in her mouth. I immediately picked her up and put her on the changing table. I looked at her face, and there was this green dob of poo on her cheek! bleeeeh! Poor kid! I felt horrible.

Here's another poop story to brighten (or darken) your day: Evan is potty training, so there's been some not so fun poop in underwear. Well, yesterday, he pooped a little in his underwear, so I took him potty b/c I figured he wasn't finished. I told him that if he poopooed on the potty we would go see the animals. (there's a free animal show in florence this week.) He sat there for like 15 minutes and didn't do anything. So I put his undies back on and set the timer for 15 minutes to try again. (oh, i've been taking him every 30 minutes. so fun!) Well, I started feeding Lauren, and Andrew had just gotten home from work. I told him to check on Evan b/c he'd been quiet and that's never good. He goes back there and is like, "Oh, no! Poop! Everywhere!" Apparently, Evan finished pooping, but tried to go on the potty. So there was poop smeared all over the toilet where he tried to sit on it. We couldn't fuss on him b/c he did try to go. When Andrew was cleaning him up, he's like, "I big boy? Animals?" haha I'm just so glad I was feeding Lauren and Andrew had just gotten home. *whew*

In non-family related news, I finally watched the new Harry Potter movie trailer. It looks so freakin' awesome. It's made me want to read the books again. I started watching the 5th movie yesterday, but got interrupted oh, so many times... I miss being a Harry Potter nerd. Such fun. And as I was watching the movie yesterday, I started developing a crush on Harry Potter. Again. Forget that he's only 15 in that movie. Age doesn't matter in fantasy crushes... right? I'm a sick person.

Welp, it's lunch time, and I'm hungry. Oh, that reminds me. Last I checked I had lost 3 lbs, but this week has been horrible, so I've been eating my problems away. haha So I've probably gained it back. *sigh* Okay, bye for reals!
